Hida Workshop
The semi-annual Hida Workshop combines Japan’s traditional craftsmanship with current digital design techniques.
Toward the Sentient City critically explored the evolving relationship between ubiquitous computing, architecture and urban space. Curated by Mark Shepard and organized by the Architectural League of New York, the exhibition was on view from September 17 – November 8, 2009 and featured five newly commissioned projects distributed throughout the New York City by Usman Haque; David Benjamin, Soo-in Yang and Natalie Jeremijenko; David Jimison and JooYoun Paek; Anthony Townsend with the Breakout! team; and the Senseable City Lab at MIT.
